Word 2007 (Office 2007) replaces most of the menu features previously used with sets of icons. Suffice it to say that this makes Word 2007 a startling departure from prior versions. No worry. If you had at least a handshaking familiarity with the menu features of earlier versions, you can navigate your way through the new icons with the aid of the HELP feature. Better yet, those not on VISTA and Office (Word) 2007 should find this guide useful.

Prior to the introduction of Windows VISTA and Office (Word) 2007, there were few visible differences in the various versions of MS Word available for execution under Windows 95, 97, NT, or XP. That being said, you should find this procedure usable regardless of the earlier version you may be running as long as you are not running Word 2007. If you want to confirm which version of Word you are running, please refer to the guideline Determining the version of an application.
